Promise Hospice is officially part of the Advantage family… It’s so hard to believe that a company I started at my kitchen table has become part of this amazing team. I started Promise in 2010 with a simple mission… “to care for our patients as if they were our mother, our father, our sister, our brother, our very best friend… We promise.” I have over 25 years of experience in end-of-life care. I started out as an MSW then, a Nursing Home Administrator, to an Executive Director of Hospice, then went on to owning my own Hospice. It has always been my passion to provide end-of-life care, while supporting people dying on their own terms. My commitment to supporting dying patients and family members intensified after the loss of my hero and father, Ron Aungier.
With the ever-changing landscape of healthcare, it became more and more difficult to remain a standalone company. So last year I decided it was time to look for a bigger home for Promise. I began the search knowing my patients and staff were the utmost priority for me. The team of staff members are phenomenal people and have done so much for the company that I had to make sure they had a safe and caring company to continue with. I spoke with several companies that didn’t give me a great feeling and was starting to wonder if selling Promise was a good idea. Then I met Amy and Bill. I immediately knew this was the company for the team. Advantage stood out, leaps and bounds, above any other company I had spoken with. I’m honored to continue providing the same excellent care, and managing the same amazing staff as the Vice President of Advantage’s Hospice division.
On the personal side, I am a mother of 4 (almost) grown children, own an Australian Shepherd that I adore, and am an avid runner. I’m usually training for a half marathon…and am always looking for running partners😊.
I want to thank everyone for being so kind and welcoming to the whole Promise team. I can’t wait to continue on this amazing journey with all of you!!
